Cryogenic Butterfly Valve is useful in controlling or throttling the flow of cryogenic media. In general, a cryogenic valve is quite similar to a typical valve. The main difference is the extended stem found in the cryogenic type. The extended stem is important in maintaining temperature by insulating the stem seal.
Series - 150 To 600
This also protects the stem from getting damaged due to extreme temperatures. It is often used in LPG, LNG, and industrial gas processes. Also used in other applications with relatively low temperatures to control and regulate the transport of cryogenic gases.
Design Features
- Compact structure, reasonable design, good valve rigidity, smooth passage and small flow coefficient
- A metal seal ring in Duplex and a highly wear-resistant Stellite grade 21 seat ensure prolonged superior tightness
- Single piece cast body with face to face dimensions to ISO5752, ASME B16.10 and API 609 double flanged short pattern, guarantees interchangeability with other valve types
- Extensively hardened bearings, incorporating a standard reinforce, braided, flexible graphite bearing protector, ensure increased reliability
- Blowout proof devices on shaft keep sure safety of shaft operating
- Pin-less shaft to disc connection makes the valve convenient for parts replacement and reliable even under corrosion
